Alerts notify your team when customers show signs of churn risk. This guide shows you how to set up your first alert in under 5 minutes.
1
Navigate to Alert Rules
Go to Settings → Alert Rules → Create New Alert
2
Choose Your Trigger
For your first alert, we recommend "Health Score Drops Below 40". This catches customers at high risk of churning.
Other popular triggers:
- No login for 14+ days
- Payment failure detected
- Support ticket with negative sentiment
3
Configure Notifications
Choose where to send alerts:
Slack (Recommended)
Real-time alerts to your team channel
Send to CSM team
4
Test & Activate
- Click "Test Alert" to verify it works
- Check you received the test notification
- Click "Activate" to go live
Quick Tips
- Start with one alert type, add more later as you learn what works
- Set realistic thresholds to avoid alert fatigue (e.g., health score < 40, not < 70)
- Assign clear owners for alerts (who responds when it fires?)
