Setting Up Your First Churn Alert

Configure alerts to notify your team the moment a customer becomes at-risk. Takes less than 5 minutes.

Alerts notify your team when customers show signs of churn risk. This guide shows you how to set up your first alert in under 5 minutes.

1

Navigate to Alert Rules

Go to Settings → Alert Rules → Create New Alert

2

Choose Your Trigger

For your first alert, we recommend "Health Score Drops Below 40". This catches customers at high risk of churning.

Other popular triggers:

  • No login for 14+ days
  • Payment failure detected
  • Support ticket with negative sentiment
3

Configure Notifications

Choose where to send alerts:

Slack (Recommended)

Real-time alerts to your team channel

Email

Send to CSM team

4

Test & Activate

  1. Click "Test Alert" to verify it works
  2. Check you received the test notification
  3. Click "Activate" to go live

Quick Tips

  • Start with one alert type, add more later as you learn what works
  • Set realistic thresholds to avoid alert fatigue (e.g., health score < 40, not < 70)
  • Assign clear owners for alerts (who responds when it fires?)
